Having a reliable, focused, and thoughtful dog requires training and if you can getting a head start as a puppy, it will take you much further and faster than you can imagine. Finding the right trainer and approach is key because with the wrong methods you can go backwards. Research has found that a dog trained with punishment and repression performs significantly worse than when trained with positive reinforcement and building confidence.
